Its core function is to prevent hydraulic actuators (such as oil cylinders and hydraulic motors) from losing control

A.Prevent overspeed operation of execution components (core function)
When the oil cylinder or motor attempts to accelerate under negative load, the balance valve will sense the pressure change at its inlet (working oil port). The control oil circuit (pilot oil circuit) inside the valve will act on the valve core, throttling or closing the oil circuit, thereby limiting the flow out of the actuator and ultimately limiting its speed, so that it can only move smoothly at the speed determined by the flow provided by the pump.
B. Bidirectional locking function
When the hydraulic system stops supplying oil (with the directional valve in the neutral position), both ports of the balance valve are closed, which can firmly lock the oil in the two chambers of the actuator. This is equivalent to a hydraulic lock (similar to the locking circuit of a double check valve), which can prevent the actuator from moving due to external forces, ensuring the safety and positional accuracy of the equipment when stopped. For example, when the crane arm is stopped in mid air, it will not slide down due to gravity.
C. Control the load to steadily decrease
The balancing valve allows the operator to lower the load at a controllable speed.
The operator adjusts the flow rate into the actuator by manipulating the directional valve, thereby indirectly but accurately controlling the flow rate out of the actuator (because the balance valve matches this flow rate), achieving a smooth and impact free drop of the load, rather than free fall.
D.Establish back pressure and absorb pressure shock
The balance valve establishes a certain back pressure (return oil pressure) on the return oil circuit. This back pressure can: Absorb the hydraulic shock generated when the system suddenly unloads or changes direction, and protect the hydraulic pump and other components. Make the movement smoother, reduce load shaking and "crawling" phenomenon.
